Greetings all,
(How) is it possible to get Intellicad 4SE to remember the preferred arrangement of the moveable toolbars?
Thanks in advance,
Matt

mattfixit,
Setup the toolbar positions and then shutdown intelliCAD.
The toolbar positions are saved in the Windows Registery and get updated when IntelliCAD is shut down.

Maybe the question is "can a toolbar layout be saved and retrieved later, replacing a current one?".
That would be handy.

mattfixit,
You can export toolbars and this "may" save the locations.
When you import the toolbars again remember to not tick "append to existing toolbars" otherwise you will end up with duplications.
I haven't tried this - so be warned.

icad DOES NOT SAVE toolbar positions. If you export and then switch to a different set they will have to repositioned. When you switch back they will have to repositioned. If you change button size they will have to be repositioned. If you downsize your window and then maximize it they will have to repositioned.
Doesn't this suck

When you export your toolbars, you will create a MNU or MNS ASCI file. You can import this file, with all limitations that this file syntax brings, in other words: you loose a lot of important info when you export/import the toolbars.
<OL TYPE=1> [*] Position can only be defined for floating toolbars, not for toolbars docked to TOP or BOTTOM
[*] Press state variables cannot be defined, "Entity Snap" toolbar will not behave as before
[*] The new and very useful "Entity Properties" toolbar (Autocad style layer control in toolbars) will not work at all
[/list]
Take care in using Export/Import. You will loose "Entity Snap" and "Entity properties", unless you check "Append to existing toolbars" (Take care not to dublicate toolbars). In fact, this is only useful for adicional toolbars, not for the ones supplied with Icad.
Another problem: I did loose "Entity properties" toolbar, playing around with toolbar export/import. Tried <Reset> without sucess. Uninstalled and reinstalled IntelliCAD without sucess. The only way to fix things was by deleting manually Icad's windows registers. Did not like this!
