I was trying out a demo version of IntelliCAD 6 SE. I tried to use the Extrude command but I got "This command is not available" message. I may buy IntelliCAD 6 PE+ in two weeks.

I bought and downloaded IntelliCAD 6.0 PE+ and saved about $3000 by not buying the latest version of AutoCAD. I created 2D object, extruded it to 3D solid object, converted it to 3D mesh object, exported to DXF ASCII file, and imported it into GMAX without any problems.

The demo version is 6.0.12.1. This is the same as it was in June. Have there been any updates? There are still several bugs in this one that have been fixed in other flavors of Intellicad.

That version, 6.0.12.1, is what I have. There have been no updates that I know of. It's hard to tell though as few, if any, on this forum will ever say and they do not post that information on the site (though they claim they do). Any updates that are available are anounced by email. One never knows if the email got deleted by mistake, got cought in the spam filter, they lost your address or there actualy have not been any updates. This could be handled better.

All,
Sometimes there are releases from the ITC that are not quite good enough to fully release to the public at large.
A bug is detected and a recommended hold is placed on distribution.
I am not privy to all the problems of distribution however, the advanced user demand releases fast to fix current bugs and these place pressure on the ITC.
I do know that CMS has held back releasing the latest version in the past because of the above.
I suppose there is a balance between introducing new bugs and introducing new features.
Just lucky it's not my call.

In another topic, some one mentions that they have version 6.1.19.0...
Does 6.1.19.0 fix problems that makes 6.0.12.1 not useable for me such the XCLIP DWG problems and the stuck snap? If there were a list of issues resolved, I could tell. Or if the demo version were updated I could tell.
So what is the current version for paying customers?

LenR,
I am using 6.0.12.1 and yes there are a few bugs.
Not sure if it comes from ITC or open DWG.
That is the problem, these are dependent on each other.

Yes, there is a newer version. 6.1.19.0 is the newest version. Near as I can tell, they didn't tell anybody about it. I just got it and it is to soon to say what has been fixed. The first (and only to this point) thing I tried was trimming some xlines. In the previous version, this was sporadic at best. Seems to work fine now.

Just saw the new demo version and downloaded it.
Both problems that gave me fits have been fixed.
