Hi out there!
Either I am too stupid or revolving simply has a bug.
What I can do is selecting the entity I want to be revolved. But what I can't do is selecting the axis for this revolution. No snap works in this dialog and I can't select a line or anything else. No matter what viewpoint, no matter whether it should revolved around x, y or z.

Has anyone of you an idea what Im' doing wrong?

What I have forgotten to say is I'm using IntelliCAD 6 SE.

I just tried this out and it is working as it should.

In plan view I created a line then a curved polyline.

I selected the revolved toolbutton then the curved polyline and then the straight line.

The curved polyline revolved around the axis of the straight line.

I then viewed this and rendered it.
