I drew some stuff to send to another person,that dosen't have intellicad the first dxf I sent worked fine, then I revised and I resent it, all he got was "vertical text" not the actual dxf file. so here the question whick format is best to email, the binary or the ascii?

ASCII is what most applications use. The sure way of doing it is to send both. He can then let you know which one works.
