HATCH

I recently upgraded to icad 5. When I do a simple user defined hatch, for siding on a house elevation, with an angle of zero and spacing of 4, it appears fine on the drawinh at first. When I save the drawing, close the program, and reopen the drawing, my hatching is gone. Can anyone help. I am tempted to say it will happen if you try it on your version 5. ?? Carl

Just tried it. Yes, it happens here too. Looks like a bug.

I think you have to modify the Icad.pat file.

You could add the following to Icad.pat (open with notepad)

*SIDING,HORIZONTAL SIDING
0,0,0,0, 4,0,0

(Do not forget an enter after the last zero)

If you want a picture of the hatch you need to make a slide and put it in the same directory as the Icad.pat file.

Hope this helps,

You would if you wanted the hatch to always be available but, according to help, the user defined pattern is defined right there in the dialog box such as the OP was doing. Works fine but disapears on save.

If one was to do an audit of the drawing with user defined hatch there will be errors that were not fixed. The errors listed will be for hatches (user defined)
