Extend doesn't work on ICAD5

When you draw a circle, and a line starting from outside the circle and ending inside it, when you do a extend comand selecting the circle as the boundary and click on the line, the line gets trimmed to the boudary of the circle... shouldnt it be going to the oposite boudary, and crossing the circle?
