Probably a stupid question as I am new to this but, how do I insert linear dimensions in the z plane. I need to create and fully dimension a 3D object (a timber cabinet), or do I have to create independent 2D views of the elevations I need.

Change UCS so dimensions are entered in x-y plane.

Thanks for that. I can see I'm going to have to spend some time getting into this. 3D is a different ballgame to my old multiple 2D elevations habit.
