Extend command not working

In the new version 13.1, when I use the extend command, I can't select anything. As soon as I move the cursor even slightly, the command disappears and abruptly terminates. This is a serious issue, and it's wasting our time for nothing. I'm going to have to roll back to the previous version and stop bothering with any future updates.

Hi,
It's a new feature that quickly extends the selected object (without choosing the boundary edges).
In case of you want to return to the previous method, simply choose the "Standard Mode", refer to the attached image.

Quan's reply above works as on individual command by command basis.
Alteratively, change system variable TRIMEXTENDMODE to 0 (zero) this will allow the trim & Extend to work as it used to (old school like me
)

Hi, I understand that the new "Quick Extend" feature in V13.1 is designed to speed up the process, but I'm still facing issues with the extend command disappearing when I move the cursor. Is there a way to fix this bug, or is the "Standard Mode" the only option to avoid this problem? Thanks!

I experienced the same issue, and found that disabling dynamic input or adjusting the snap settings temporarily resolved the problem until a patch is released.

You might want to play with Graphicsconfig, it could help with the disappearing cursor
