3D problems

Anyone else having issues with 3D modeling?
Created a 3D solid mounting plate, subtracted solid cylinders for holes.
The holes do not show on the GA !!!
Close Icad, restart, open mounting plate, holes gone, just 2 vertical lines per hole showing where ther were intended.
13.1 is very buggy

Hi Steve,
Can you send us the terminal code to repeat your solids please?
>>just 2 vertical lines per hole
Here I see more lines per oblong holes but no horizontal line !!!

Morning Pat
The problem is random, it will work for a while then throw in an error.
I have only noticed this on subtracting cylinders.
In the image I posted, the oblongs started as a cuboid + cylinder at each end which were joined (union) to form the oblong shape. This was then subtracted fron the parent solid to form the slotted hole.

Why don't use :
1 - a polyline of oblong hole
2 - extrude it then in 3D object?
or
2 transform it in surface
and
3 - extrude it then in 3D object.
EDIT ; I tested with 2 cubes > addition 3D object work
but substraction 3D object don't work !
Here is the function ^C^C^C_subtract don't work
I have this traceback: Modeler operation error: At least two coplanar solid bodies, surfaces, or regions must be selected
but I use 2 3D cubes only !!!!
But I use two 3d onject : cubes !!!!
_intersect work fine but
_subtract don't work !!!
FMintersection work but
FMsubstraction don't work
HERE is a video of the substraction operation :

HAAAA OKKKK I understand NOW you must select the substraction operation, then click on the first object + enter and then select the object you want substract ! EUREKA

Why are you still using v13.0 when you can run v13.1 ? We believe our software provided notice of the update availability.
Just uninstall v13.0, reboot download and install v13.1

I'm using 13.1, just had not updated my sig.
Now updated.

Thanks for the response.
We've seen such issue with solids imported from third-party STEP files, but not with 3D solid models created in IntelliCAD.
We're not able to reproduce the issue here with slots created with cuboid + cylinder at one end (as example), neither from slots created from extrusions.
Closed and opened the file sample as we were editing the file to see if that also occurred randomly, but we found no issues.
What graphics engine are you using ? See GRAPHICSCONFIG command and switch it from 1 to 2, or on the reverse way and double check if you see the same problem.
Please use the SENDFEEDBACK command and report reproducible steps on such issue; such goes directly to developers.

Thanks for the input, but as I mentions earlier this is 'random'
Icad 13.1 just crashed, and the 'emergency saved file' is corrupt.
3 hours work lost.
This is NOT a stable product.
And YES I do send crash reports

Hello everyone.
Upon opening a 3D file I'm working on, a 3D solid that I had made the day before is fully lost—a perimetral wall built off adding and subtracting prisms (extruded polylines), not even any curved geometry involved. The wall was there when I saved the file, even it showed in the thumbnail on the start page the next time I opened it, but when I did it, the mentioned 3D solid was no longer there. Audited the file for errors but reported none, even tried to recover it from the .bak file but to no avail as well. A couple of the last modifications I made to similar solids are also lost.
It seems to me that for some reason the file saving process doesn't always work properly and disregards some actions that was apparently successfully achieved, i.e. shown on screen. And I can guarantee that I saved the file properly, in fact, several times before closing it (saved as AutoCad 2018 dwg file).
Any suggestion on how to make a more secure file saving process would be welcome. Perhaps in dxf? If so, what dxf version? Any other extension?
Before saving the file with its current name, I will try to save it with other name and check if everything is ok. Lets see if we can find a workaround for this issue.
I bought the 13.1PE+ update from the 11.1PE+ version a month ago. The programme is extensive and promising, but unfortunately basic stability and consistency issues keep going. Fortunately, today I have time to rebuild the mentioned wall and other lost solids modifications, but wouldn't like to find myself in front of a client or boss trying to excusing myself with this sort of the-dog-ate-my-homework explanation.
Cheers.

Hi Juan,
I feel for you, same problem I'm having.
You could search for the '$sv' files, there may be a backup there you could use, just renale the '$SV' to 'DWG' and open the file.

Hi Steve.
Thanks for your replay and suggestion.
I had to deal quite a bit with quite the .$Sv files when using the previous 11.1 version because the errors that triggered their creation weren't uncommon, especially, I think, when working with two different files opened at the same time.
The problem I have just had, though, is that the system has not reported any error upon saving or before, the file was saved and closed apparently with no errors and never crashed when working on it.
I have just realized the "Keep autosave and backup files" option wasn't on since I updated to the 13.1 version. Now is on, which may help for this issue for sure. Thanks for pointing this out to me.
Sad to deal with this software reliability issues; an excellent one otherwise.
P.D.: Forgot to mention that the only reason why I decided to update from v11.1PE+ to 13.1PE+ was precisely its reliability issues. Hope CMS IntelliCad works harder on this because it's its most important drawback.
Regards.

HI Juan,
Sad, but its good that someone else is suffering the same
This is happening when I have multiple drawings open at the same time.
Many Xref components, Some Xrefs are imports from stl files.
I am also using clipboard copy/paste between drawings.
I have 2 almost identical models, and I am working on achieving as many duplicate items as possible between the models.
Anything similar to you?

Well, I think so, Steve.
Yesterday I was working on the 3D model but taking measures from the other opened file containing the plans. I wasn't copy-pasting between files most of the time because couldn't fully trust on the plans having the perfect alignments and precision the 3D model requires. However, I did copy-paste from the plans to the 3D model a couple of irregular perimeters.
By the way, I was doing it with two instances of CMS IntelliCad opened instead of both files in the same instance, so I could have both on my 36" ultrawide monitor at the same time. It was the first time I used this method and the experience was not perfect, there seemed to be at least some issues with the cursor when toggling between windows.
I also remember having crashes when working with Icad 11.1 and files with several Xrefs, but have not tried thus far to subject the current version to that stress.
Yes, now I'm trying to keep two copies of the same file at the same time, saving into the backup one as soon as the current one seems to be ok with recent changes. As I said before, I think this must be some sort of random error when saving which let some changes out, but I'm far from being an expert.
