Just installed CMS Intellicad 11.1x64 Premium Edition Plus on a Windows 11 machine for evaluation.
Have a short question to support:
How do I enable thumbnail preview in Windows file explorer?
Regards
/Daniel
Re: Thumbnails in Windows File Explorer
#2Open windows explorer.
Across the top you will find the 'view' tab, select this.
Now in the dropdown select the size of image (icon) you want, small/medium/large/Extra-large.
NOTE: this is a folder by folder setting.

#3Thanks for your reply sln8458, and let me apologize for being a bit unclear.
The question was how to tell Intellicad to include a thumbnail icon in each saved file.
But you are of course correct in that that you also need to select a view in Windows file explorer that shows thumbnails.
Since I asked this question in this forum, which I mistakenly understood was the way to get in touch with the support for Intellicad, I have understood that there is indeed a support mail address. I have asked the very same question that way, but no answer so far.

#4Hi Daniel,
Not sure I fully understand what you requested but IntelliCAD includes a thumbnail icon in each saved file by default.

#5Thanks Quan,
That's the preview, I don't have that either. Not a problem for me though.
These are thumbnails.
Pretty much all software saves one in their document (if you tell them to), but I'm now suspecting that IntelliCad doesn't have that ability.

#6Hi Dan,
Go to the 'open drawing' dialog.
Across the top you have:
Look In.(folder name)..... then the 'back' arrow, then the 'up one level', then new folder,
then the 'View Menu' dropdown.
Select the down arrow beside the view menu icon, then select the size of image(icon) you want.
Probably Large icon.

#8To enable thumbnail previews for CMS IntelliCAD files in Windows File Explorer, you typically need to ensure that the software's file thumbnail preview handler is installed and registered correctly.sln8458 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 12:41 amHi Dan,

#9Thanks for all of your suggestions.
The problem is now solved in the way that I've decided against intellicad and am using other software to work with dwg.
Cheers
