2D Parametric Constraints

#1
Hello, new IntelliCAD user here! I'm looking for parametric constraints to use in the 2D workspace, which are absolutely fantastic for creating configurable parts to be cut using 2-D and 2.5-D CNC. They are also really useful for auto-moving blocks and groups when shifting walls, doors, furniture, etc.

I can't find this feature in the base install of IntelliCAD 10.1 PE. Am I missing it? If not, is this feature in development? Has anybody released any macros or express tools? If I need to consider developing it for myself, would that be a LISP command or a VBA macro?

There is nothing that I am aware of, however

What are you trying to achieve specifically?

For me 'parametrics' are like picking a standard part from a list of available standard parts.

so you create your database of parts, listing all the dimensions in table form, giving each part a label/tag
Then create a display of those standard parts in some form of menu/pickbox
So once selected you can insert the part.

This is done in that way:

sln8458,

This is what I mean by parametric constraints: https://youtu.be/-WZTO2EivpM
This is immensely useful for creating cookie-cutter templates. Instead of manually calculating and double-checking all of the necessary moves, the change of a single parameter will relocate all connected features for you. It's especially great if you have a parameter that affects many dimensions, like default clearance.
