Dim, Block & Grid problems

I have several problems with using Intellicad Version 4 as follows:
1. When dimensioning in No.4, changing the dimension style on the toolbar
does not change the style being used to what is displayed! Instead an
"overrides" style is created and used instead of the desired style displayed
on the lower toolbar. This style usually possesses part of the previous &
part of the desired styles properties! The only way to change to the style
desired is to use the drop down menu from the settings, which is the same as
it was in the 2000 version.
2. When I use the insert from file command from the pull-down insert menu,
can I set it to always look in my wblock folder I have created? Each time I
go to insert I must close & open directories to get to my wblock folder of
blocks, which wastes time.
I tried changing the path in the options tab to fix the following problem but with no change. I could change the path of where it looks for drawings, but not the blocks.
3. Dimension text sits right on the extension line & I seem unable to alter
any setting that can set the text slightly above it. How can I do this?
I “selected above extension line” to fix this problem, but the text remains where it is. Changing the vertical text offset doesn’t seem to move it either.
4. I save all my drawings with their paperspace view displayed. Whenever I
reopen these drawings in model space, the grid that I originally set visible
on the drawing is not displayed. The only way I can re-display the grid is
by resetting the drawing limits! Why is this? can it be fixed?
Regards
