Problem:
Catia 5 cannot convert layers to DXF output files. It can however convert colors to layers. For many applications it is required to convert catia files to the DWG platforms

Is there in Intellicad a possibility to convert colors to layers? That would facilitate a rebuild of lost layer information when transferring files from Catia5 to Intellicad

I'm not quite sure wether I understood you right. Let's see an example:
If you want to transform anything with color "123" to layer "layer123", you can do it manually, using selection by filter.
Type "ENTPROP" -->"Select entities to modify:"
Type "PRO" --> "Select by properties:"
Type "COLOR" -->"Color to select <...>:"
Type "123" and close selection typing "Enter"
In Entprop dialog box, choose layer "Layer123"

If you have to do this for many colors/layers, you should write a little Lisp for that.

Late information:
Catia 5 does seem to have a possibility to convert colours to layers. It is required to use a Semantec export, which can be selected in the export window.
