Group Command

I have found an interesting problem.
Using v3.3 (latest release)
If the group command is envoked on a machine running Win98se (at least on my machine) it is very picky about the name of the group. It will give the error "Invalid Name" or some such. It is very difficult to get it to save a group.
If the group command is envoked on a Win 2000 machine this limitation does not seem to exist.
By the way this problem also existed in the previous release.
Can anybody else confirm this?
Any solutions/workarounds other than using blocks?
Thank you,
ssc
