CAD Software Forum

In the past I've had no success at retreiving, editing, or even viewing appid ACAD registered Extended Entity Data (EED). There's no problem if you register your own appid but ACAD is out of bounds. I know this has been aknowledged as a IntelliCAD limitation, but I'm just wondering if there have been any developements in this matter.

Looks like the problem still exists, I even tried "ICAD" instead of "ACAD".

For those who may be interested:

Enter paperspace
Type MVIEW and hit Enter
Select two point on screen
Type (Entget (entlast)) then hit Enter
Press F3 to view all the entity data for the viewport.

Now type (entget (entlast) '("ACAD")) hit Enter

You should see the entity data followed by (-3 ("ACAD" ...............

The -3 is the Extended Entity Data group code and ACAD is the appid name. ICAD should display this.
