Regarding Image Digitization
#1Please tell me if we can do image digitization in Intellicad as in Autocad. I am interested in raster image registration and digitisation.

Intellicad supports a digitizer and with the pro version you can import raster images.
The digitizer must be supported via windows drivers and i'm not sure which one is the best.
I have played with this in the early stages of IntelliCAD's development.
You can also use raster to vector conversion tools. These create dxf files that import into IntelliCAD.

I have found the best way to input paper drawings is to use a digitizing tablet.
IntelliCAD used to work with digitizing tablets but I have found that it does not work anymore. At least not with the the latest version of IntelliCAD, Windows 2000 operating system and my Calcomp digitizing tablet. Windows 2000 and my tablet work fine together, but IntelliCAD has problems.
I have an old version of IntelliCAD running on a old Windows 95 machine and that works with a tablet. My tablet worked with fine with IntelliCAD in Windows 98, but when I went to Windows 2000, it stopped working.

The drivers for tablets (wintab drivers) need to comply with the users operating system. Using a common well-known tablet is best however; there are no guarantees that the tablet manufacturer will provide updated drivers for new operating systems.
On the Intellicad side the tablet is still supported providing you have the correct wintab drivers.
Wintab drivers are software that change the tablet output to emulate a mouse so the operating software thinks there is a mouse. IntelliCAD's tablet software allows the tablet configuration and provides "relative positioning" for an area of the tablet with the ability to also send commands when click events occur outside the relative positioning area.of the tablet
The answer is simple when using tablets – obtain the correct wintab drivers for your operating system and tablet.(simple answer - sometimes can be hard because the tablet manufacture's want to sell new tablets)

I do have the latest drivers for the tablet and the driver is for Windows 2000.
The tablet works fine in other applications when used as a mouse but does not work in IntelliCAD.
One of the other ICAD vendors said, "Tablets do not work with IntelliCAD. It is a known problem in both 3.04 and 3.3."

I think Intellicad has very big Problems with Tablets. Because WINTAB has changed its driver. Latest drivers are functioning with all Cad & Graphic software, except Intellicad.
We are tired about searching & installing new, old & all drivers.I hope as a good support team you must better contact with your programmers. That can`t be diffucult...
