Am I missing how to insert an image file into a drawing.
I routinely inserted jpg files as a backdrop on previous versions. Primarily aerial photos which I could then draw over.
Having just upgraded to version 7.2 from 6.3, I am noticing that the _imageattach command as well as the complete image pulldown menu is gone. Images are not even referenced in the help section.
This is a huge disappointment and I am hoping that I am overlooking the correct commands.

That's my problem. There is no Image under Insert. Therefore I can't insert an image.
I can even open older files under version 6 where the image was inserted and viewable; but, even those don't show the actual image in version 7.2.
They show a box with the image title in it. I have double clicked on the boundary and pulled up the image info; but, cannot get it to show up.

As I look at Intellicad 7.2 Professional (I thought only professional allowed working with Images ??) across the top menu bar: File Edit Insert Draw...
Click on Insert > Image> Attach Raster Image
Then a new window opens "Select Image File"
Are you sure you have Professional?? It should say "Professional" in the top line if the ICAD window, and I think in Help > About, the "P" in the version denotes the same. My : " Product ID: 7.2.1526.0.P.V"
The more I think about it, you have downloaded and installed the standard version.

That must be it. My version does not say Professional so I must have the standard version. Oh well, I guess I'll have to contact them for an upgrade.
Thanks for the help. Just wish I knew this when i ordered. If I'd probably read the differences in all the versions I'd have seen it somewhere.

Yep, that's the only reason I pay for the professional. As a retired engineer that had first worked with Acad 2.17, I use Icad for many things around the house. Many times I scan something (last was crossection of a wood window, but has been electronic chip schematics, etc.) or a snap a photo, insert the image and draw from there notes, circuits, layouts, etc.
I have been with Icad from before the image ability, and the announcement was enough to upgrade. You probably can just go to the download area after login, and see the upgrade, but talking to them, you might be able to get a better price.
