Title Block

#1
I just started using Intellicad and am having trouble developing a title block which I can use over and over. I want to set it up for 8.5 x 11 paper in landscape mode. What is the best way to do it ?

#2
I made title blocks with attributes in them and insert the files as blocks. I don't know if have used any other CAD program before but I made it the same way I made any other title blocks. I actually used my ones that I made in Autocad. I don't know if this helps. But if you have any other question about the title blocks I would be more than willing to answer them.

So Mike did you figure which way you were going to draw them ? IF you did can you let me know I am interested in what you are doing to make you title blocks.

A simple way to make a title block is as follows:

When in doel space, draw a rectangle to the size of your title block, partition it off to mimic your original (paper) office title block.

Once you have set the text up to be the height you want, and set the colours and included any logos you may need, save the drawing as a file. As a rule, if the title block is for an A1 drawing, call it A1title, for A2, A2title and so on.

Save these into your support directory and then when you need a title block, just insert it either in paperspace at 1:1 or in modelspace at whatever scale you need it.
