I'm brand new to the forum and relatively new to the world of CAD, but super excited to be here. I've recently started diving into AutoCAD and dabbling a bit with Fusion 360, mostly for personal design projects and to bring some DIY product ideas to life.

Right now, I'm still wrapping my head around layers, constraints, and just how powerful these tools really are. It’s a little overwhelming — in the best way! I’ve always been into sketching and building things, and CAD feels like the perfect bridge between ideas and reality.

A few quick things about me:

• I’m interested in product design, furniture layouts, and maybe one day... 3D printing.
• Still figuring out the difference between parametric vs. direct modeling (tips welcome!).
• I joined this forum to learn from people who’ve been doing this way longer than me — and to maybe give back one day too.

If anyone has suggestions for beginner-friendly tutorials, must-know commands, or fun starter projects to build confidence, I’m all ears!
