I paste one command in the 'command line' and want it to execute and then await the next command.
But the initial command does no terminate.
Here is what happens. I have tried multiple combinations of control characters with no success.
I am trying to paste a simple script in the command line.
I want the script to execute (which it does)
and then end the command with the 'command line' awaiting for the next command.
which should displaying "Command:"
Example of problem...
I paste this & hit enter
SELECT all
which is
escape SELECT ALL escape
from Excel
=CHAR(27) & "SELECT all" & CHAR(27)
displayed above command line - looks correct to me
Command: SELECT
[FILter/?]/<Select entities>: all
2 found
But Leaves the command line displays this
[FILter/?]/<Select entities>:
Should be Command:
I know this is simple, so be kind

Re: Script in Command Line
#2Hi Barry,
Can you add the command to prefix?
Can you add the command to prefix?
Code: Select all
(command "SELECT" "all" "")Re: Script in Command Line
#3Hi Barry,
Lets go back to basics, one step at a time:
When you type a command on the command line nothing happens until you press enter.
In a script you have to include this by adding a space.
Your script, SELECT all ,only has 1 space after all.
So you need to add a 2nd space to close the command
SELECT ALL' ' '
NOTE, I have added ' to highlight the spaces.
Which is highlighted in Quan's script by the " " at the end.
I don't normally use command ine scripts, most of my scripts are in toolbar icons as this allows me to use ' ; ' to replace the space and hence see everything a little clearer.
Here is a toolbar script to insert a 'bubble' with leader for numbering assembly drawings
ID__0 [_Button("Insert Item Bubble", "bubble.bmp", "ICON_24_BLANK")]^C^C^C_attdia;off;-insert;bubble;nea;\(getvar "dimscale");;;;_leader;nea;\per;\;;n;attdia;on;
