Display length of line?

New to Intellicad but not to desktop CAD. How do I display the segment length of a freestyle line? The coordinates don't help (unless you're REALLY good at math). I simply want to start a line, drag the cursor, and see the length of the segment increase. Of course, I can enter a command line to draw a line, but this is totally impractical when drawing freehand. Thanks in advance!
