Grips highlight flash and then gone

My highlight is not working intermittently, eg. when I select a polyline, the grips flash for an instant then they are gone. Sometimes when I completely close icad then come back into a drawing, it’s fixed for a while, other times I come in from a cold start and it’s already doing it. My HIGHLIGHT setvar is ON, GRIPS are ON. Using Windows 10, HP Spectre notebook. Thanks

I followed the links to unchecking 2d and or 3d antialiasing, I unchecked 2d to start with and have not had a problem for hours, I think it worked! It also solved the problem of using Win key+Tab to switch from Icad to folders and having it crash all the folder explorer windows.

I spoke too soon, the grips problem is still fixed but it's back to crashing my folders when switching tasks. :O(
