This is a fresh full (not upgrade from XP, etc.) Windows 8 Pro, on a newly formatted partition on a computer that dual boots Linux Ubuntu. Net Framework 4.0 came installed with Windows 8. Visual C++ 2008 (vcredist_x86.exe) was downloaded from Microsoft and installed. Then Icad (CMS_Icad_7.2_PRO_setup.exe) is run to install the new upgrade. Run Icad > select evaluation > set security window warning >Configuring > Windows Installer Window > Installing Windows Word > Crash handler. Microsoft Word 2000 has been installed previously, but the default wordprocessor is Libre.
I do own a 7.2 Pro license, but was going to activate it after it is has shown it is stable.
Anyone else having this problem, oth thoughts??
