Adding the custom material it doesn't seem to come up on the icmat file.
I can apply the custom material to a whole body but when trying to do it to a single face I can't get it to work.
Hopefully someone can help because this should be simple
Hi all, I've been trying to add my own material and cannot get it to work. To assign a material to a face, I've imported a built in material to the drawing. Then used solidedit, face, material and typed the name of the material and it assigned it to the face properly. if I try and add a new material...
Thanks for the reply. I have actually done some serious messing with this recently and found that by changing the background to white, assigning a new layer with black solid line and making sure that is active before doing flatshot it actually behaves better. I did report it and got told to ask in t...
Going one step further I've mapped out a field which I am putting a little plan together for. I have used a GPS app and made points around it's perimeter and I can export the data to pdf, shp, and so on. If I try bringing in the shp file I get asked for a coordinate system, no matter what I type in ...
I've Succesfully got a map loaded and I'm now trying to capture an area. I draw the rectangle out and then nothing seems to happen. I seem to remember once the capture box is drawn you could turn off the map and it leaves the captured area behind? Has anyone been successful with this in V14? Turning...
I noticed when you edit in place everything disappears for me. Trouble is I contacted cms with the issue with flatshot and they told me to come to the forum, which if no ones else has that issue then nothing will happen? Seem rather backwards to me.
Anyway, hence the reason I haven't reported it.
I was excited to try v14, it's slick, nice dark mode, very smooth loading and moving models around but STILL cannot do a proper flatshot!
I'd say it's pretty pointless me upgrading if this type of thing isn't resolved.
Also to add to this if you do a flatshot and export it to a block straight away, when I import that block it's in inches when everything on my set up is in mm
One is various solid models on different layers, the other is the same solids put into a block and flatshot ran again.
Something isn't right here?!
I tried this on a previous assembly I made and this made no difference.
In my quest to find out what is happening with this I'm trying various other providers of this type of software. All of it seems to behave the same. I have come across something called BiiCADo. This seems to be not supported anymore since the website is kind of stale and out of date. You can still d...
