Well, I think Iive got it now. Recovered the DWG, saved, recovered again, saved, and it looks like its all there.

Multiple errors, I guess?

Yep, tried that, too: Color by layer. Changing color doesn't have any effect.

Auditing the file seems to shift the problem elsewhere. This applies to text (shx) also. The file came from AutoCad 2004, and an autocad audit didn't fix the problems either.

Could this be some freak video card issue?

Thanks, Mars.

No advice on the strange lines, which are just lines, and the plotting problem? We tried recovering and auditing the drawing, found a fixed a lot of errors, but couldn't crack the strange line issue...

Just plotted and the phantom lines didn't show up on paper either, but still could be selected in IntelliCad.

Some help please?

Thanks,that says something.

Just opened a DWG with the demo, and it looks like some lines and text are not showing up, although they can be selected.

Is this a common problem?

Exchange DWG w/ Consultants

I'm an architect who works with various consultants (mech, elec, structural) and I'm considering IntelliCAD. Primary concern is ease of interchange of files with these consultants, who largely use AutoCad.

Any words of wisdom for me as I consider IntelliCAD vs AutoCAD?
