Floor plans - 3D drawing

I have a set of floor plans, as individual files, for a building. What I would like to do is stack the floor plans to create a 3D model of the building so that I could add in the services.

Could anybody suggest a way of doing this?

Thank you John. Your option of opening it AutoCAD is not workable as I do not know anybody who uses it. The first option I would rather not visit as there was a lot of work involved in creating the drawing. Rebooting does not help either.

Error - buffer overrun

I have the following message when I try to opening 2 drawings previously created in ICAD version 4.0.27.1 "Error - buffer overrun. This file may be an AutoCAD R14 beta format file." The drawings were created by cutting & pasting part of a drawing created in VisualFM (?), and saved as ....
