John, Thanks for your help and sorry to take so much of your time. I was hoping you might find a miracle cure. I think you are right though. All of these conversion utilities etc. can read a 2D or 3D drawings saved as .dxf or .dwg but if I save solids they either skip the objects, want it saved as ....

I did as you said and when I open the DXF file in notepad I get a lot of information but I don't find any of the solids info. I saved a .sat file using ACIS out and opened it in notepad and the info was there, but not in the .DXF

Convert files to .stl

I need to convert some cabinet parts done in solids to StereoLithography .stl form. I have software that will convert a .dxf to .stl but when I open my files done in Intellicad, it prompts to export from autocad as a .3ds file. It will not open the .sat file from Intellicad. any suggestions?
